Jordan Bolton is an alternative solo artist from Manchester, England. After spending the first half of 2010 exploring new music and writing his first demo, he compiled 4 complete songs which he then recorded in September, upon finishing college. Finding influence from many different decades and styles of music, whilst trying to discover his own sound, led him to learn different instruments, different ways of playing and different ways of writing.
His first demo is based upon experimental sounds with a pop foundation, including influences ranging from Pixies, to Beach Boys, to Arcade Fire, to Neil Young, whilst trying to retain a common thread throughout with his own developing signature sound. All instruments and vocals on the recordings were played by Jordan, except for drums, which were played by Chris Forsey (of Manchester band 'I, Said The Spy') who also produced the recordings in his home studio.
Currently, Jordan is writing his 2nd demo, to be recorded early 2011, which will build upon his current sound to create something more signature, whilst also branching out into other musical areas. He is also supporting Harrys Gym at the Manchester Roadhouse on February 15th.
